When installing RAD PDF, you may encounter an error message similar to "Installer Error: A file that is required cannot be installed because the cabinet file C:\Users\...\RadPdfInstaller1.cab has an invalid digital signature. This may indicate that the cabinet file is corrupt."
In most cases, this error is thrown when the Certificate Revocation List (CRL) can not be checked.
To fix this issue, try the following:
- Make sure the computer is connected to the internet before running the installer. This allows Windows to verify that the certificate which was used to digitally sign the installer has not been revoked.
- Make sure that Windows is fully updated so that the latest root certificates are installed and trusted.
- Make sure that the GlobalSign Root CA and other required certificates are installed and trusted. Red Software signs RAD PDF using a certificate issued by GlobalSign.
